In 1969 I bought my first german shepard dog for 160 "German Mark". He was named Fenn von der Baulandperle. I achieved SchH1 with the note "very good". I continued with the training and competed at assessments and Körungen. I got interested in breeding by observing my good friend Karl Füller who got famous with his "Zwinger vom Kirschental". I came down to the following principles: The dogs have to be healthy, a good character, motivated and tough. Finally they should have correct anatomy. That means the dog should achieve SchH3, IP3, FH paired with Körklasse 1 and vorzüglich at a show. I followed these principles until today and always tried to achieve them. At the moment we reached the 8th generation of our breeding. |
